Poojya Shree Shree Gurujiamma, the founder of Radhekrishna Sathsangam, has given us her chosen beloved disciple Mahaan Brahmashree Guruji Gopalavallidasar for us. Gurujiamma was a living example of a jeevanmukta, taking on the role of a simple householder woman, at the same time efficiently guiding her disciples and shishyas towards the path of Krishna bhakti. Gurujiamma attained Krishna's lotus feet on December 25, 2014. Pranams at her lotus feet.
Poojya Shree Shree Gurujiamma ki Jai !!!
Guruji Gopalavallidasar, the devoted Sathshishyan of revered Gurujiamma of Radhekrishna Sathsangam. Born in Chennai in 1975 to Sreeman Ramamurthy and Sreemathi Shantha, Guruji’s spiritual journey began at the young age of seventeen.
What started as a simple visit to a yoga class became a life-changing encounter with Gurujiamma. From that moment, his life found its direction — a life dedicated to Guru Bhakti, Krishna Bhakti and Namajapam.
At the age of twenty, Guruji began delivering Upanyasams.
Though he holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and initially entered the corporate world, his calling was elsewhere. He chose to dedicate his life to Gurujiamma’s divine mission of spreading Krishna Bhakti and the glory of Nama. For more than three decades, Guruji has carried out this sacred service, touching countless hearts through his Upanyasams, Sathsangs and spiritual guidance.
Under the loving guidance of Gurujiamma, he lives as a true Grihastha — sincerely fulfilling his family responsibilities while carrying the message of Bhakti far and wide. His spiritual journey has taken him across India and to countries including Australia, New Zealand, UAE, Qatar, Singapore, Uganda, Brunei, Japan and Hong Kong, where devotees have had the blessing of listening to his inspiring discourses.
Guruji speaks with remarkable depth on the Ramayana, Srimad Bhagavatam, Bhagavad Gita, Mahabharata, Azhwar Charithrams, Divya Prabandhams, Bhakta Charitras, Narada Bhakti Sutra, Skanda Purana, Garga Samhita and many other sacred works. His Sthala Mahathmyam discourses bring alive the divine glory of sacred places such as Udupi, Puri, Dwaraka, Nathdwara, Badrinath, Guruvayur and Vrindavan.
But Guruji’s Upanyasams are not merely explanations of scriptures. They are expressions of Anubhavam and Bhakti that travel from the heart of the speaker directly to the heart of the listener. Guruji also has a special love for discovering lesser-known sacred places mentioned in our Puranas and Itihasas. Through his yatras and videos, he brings these holy destinations closer to all of us and inspires devotees to undertake these sacred journeys themselves.
And in today's busy world, Guruji reaches us in yet another beautiful way — through his short morning messages. In just a few moments, he gives us a thought that can remain with us throughout the day: practical wisdom, simple spirituality and a gentle reminder to keep Krishna at the centre of our everyday lives.
Yet, despite his knowledge, experience and decades of service, the quality that touches us most deeply is his humility. Guruji never presents himself as a master. He simply considers himself Gurujiamma’s child — a humble Krishna Dasan and Ramanuja Dasan.
And the essence of his teaching can be beautifully expressed in his own simple words:
“Do your duties sincerely and keep chanting.
Your duties are the easiest way to enjoy Bhakti.”
What a beautiful message for all of us — Bhakti need not be separate from life. Our very life, when lived sincerely with Nama and Krishna Smaranam, can become Bhakti.
