Anybody will be able to embrace Sansaya
(renunciation) yoga but those who are entitled to it alone have the right to adopt that path. Sanyasa does not mean that one should wear orange robes and follow some rigid guidelines. Meera was a sanyasi despite being a householder. She did all the regular chores of a householder and at the same time did bhakti with total devotion. It does not mean that a householder who adopts Sanyasa yoga will not mingle with people and run away from their homes. Humans are ready to conclude anything based on their very limited thought capabilities. There is a definite truth and if we realise that truth everything will become clear to us. We don't have to go to anyone to consult about anything. If we realise God then He will ensure that, we as His children, are hand held ,taken care of and guided in the right direction. He will even suggest not to tread a particular path while walking on the streets. This is what we call truth and all our ancestors have shown us how to realise this truth. Of all the paths, the easiest of them is to chant the names of the Lord There is no need to have ten thousand rupees to realise God. Lord does not demand to bathe Him in sandal water or do anything else. All the Lord expects is to surrender our hearts and minds to Him.

Mahatmas - New Bhaktacharitras Each Month India
is the holy land with so many bhaktas (devotees). When we go through the Indian
history, there must be a bhakta in every period. That is the greatness of this
sacred land. Bhaktas are the role model for all the bonded souls. They enjoy
their life in a perfect way. Bhaktas surrender themselves to the Lotus feet of
Lord. By hearing or reading bhaktas' divine story, the bonded soul is
enlightened to come out of the worldwide bondages. Radhekrishna!
Sincere chanting and listening to the great stories of devotees will surely give
a peace of mind to everybody, even in this 21st century. So many people think
that listening to the devotee's stories is a waste of time and there is no
benefit at all. If somebody wants to realize the power of bagawan, first of all
they must listen bhaktha charithram [stories of devotees]. There are so many
advantages in listening to baktha charithram.
Bharath is a very special land and contained within it are sacred places and rivers. Devotees born in this sacred Bharath ensure that they propagate bhakti in all corners of the country. This is the precise reason why the fragrance of bhakti can be felt all around our country. Thirumangai Azhwar was visiting all the sacred places around this country. Whilst on pilgrimage around the country he visited the sacred town of Srirangam.

Bhaktas of the Lord have no means of extinction. This is what the Lord proclaims
to Arjuna in Gita. The Lord swears by his words and proclaims that his devotees
never face extinction. Those who are always meditating on the Lord are never
touched by any sins. Sin will befall those who do their duties out of
expectation of the fruits of their work. Those who do karma for the Lord are
unaffected by the outcome and hence are untouched by the sins. That is the
strength of bhakthi and is considered to be very sacred. A jasmine plant will
not yield foul smelling flower even if watered by sewage or waste water. It is
the nature of the jasmine flower to emit fragrance. Bhakthi is very sacred and
even if appears to produce sins, they are destroyed by the power of bhakthi.
Aandal also asserts that if we meditate and sing the glories of the Lord all our
present and future sins will burn as if cotton burns when comes in contact with
fire. It is a fact that those who chant the names of the Lord are found to wash
their present , past and future sins.
Tirumangai azhwar was a true devotee and has lost himself in bhakthi. The azhwar
decides to undertake sinful tasks just for the sake of building the temple walls
of Srirangam. We often comment that there was no use in azhwar trying to build
the walls by doing these sinful activities and instead he could chosen better
ways. Even today the walls are present and it only matters what the Lord think
about the azhwar's karma and not what the present human race feel about it. Like
with a dog determining the capabilities of a Lion, it would be unwise to try to
explore the intentions of mahatmas. Similarly a flower with no odour can't
comment about a fragrant flower. As ordinary mortals it is enough to observe
what the mahatmas have done and not try to come to any conclusion based on our
limited capacity. We saw how the azhwar drowned all the workers who helped build
the temple. The worker's relatives are pressing the azhwar about their missing
near and dear ones.
At a time when the azhwar was feeling a bit low about the deeds, Lord Ranganatha
promised the azhwar to save him at all costs as it was His duty to do so. As
advised by the azhwar the relatives of the workers came to the temple after
taking a dip in river Cauvery. The azhwar requests the relatives to call out
their missing ones and they in turn do as per azhwar's advice. The relatives
then hear their missing ones speaking to them and they all proclaim that by the
blessings of the azhwar, they have attained the highest state of reaching
Vaikundam (Moksha). The missing workers speak about the nature of Vaikunda and
how they are having a joyous life devoid of all worries. They also advise their
relatives in the temple to devote their lives as advised by the azhwar and
attain a good state in life. The relatives were ecstatic on hearing this. The
workers had a number of bad habits, had accumulated past sins but by the grace
of the azhwar they had attained a state which they could not have attained in a
million births.
The workers when about to be drowned thought only about the Lord as they had
sincerely worked and helped in building the temple walls. They all died with the
thought of the Lord in their minds. The Lord also in Gita asserts that a person
attains the same that he or she thinks at the time of death. Hence the workers
who were thinking about the Lord at the time of their death attained His abode.
The workers were ordinary beings and worked for money. But their mere
association with the azhwar had proved to get the most sought after thing in
life - Moksha. Tirumangai azhwar helped such a big group of people to attain
salvation and we can't even imagine such things. Even if they all had meditated
for millions of years there would not have been a guarantee that they would have
attained Moksha. There is more to come and we will enjoy it in the coming issues

Krishnam Vande Jagadhgurum - Extracts From The Holy Bhagawath Geetha
Radhekrishna.Hinduism
is an ancient religion. All the things that have been spoken in
Hindu religion can be applied in practical life. Although in 21st century till
everyone can apply this in his or her daily life. The aim of Hindu religion is
to provide total happiness to everyone at all times (or any point of time). The
essence of Hinduism is told in "Bhagawad Gita". In order to realize
what is said in Bhagawad Gita it is a compulsory (must) to have an unconditional
faith on Bhagawad Gita. So many people have benefited in their lives because of
the (by reading) shlokas of Bhagawad Gita. In Bhagawad Gita, Bhagawan Shri
Krishna has told the way to lead a happy life in such an easy way that even a
normal layman can easily understand. The slokas are so simple that anyone can
understand and use it practically.

RadheKrishna
We always take pride about the way we think, our intellectual abilities, our
ability to solve day to day problems by proper analysis and achievements as a
result of our hard work as compared to the rest of the population. But the
fact is that is that the Lord is the most intelligent of all, the most
powerful force and is the only one who can accomplish anything. The karmas of
our past birth (Prarabtha karma) alone results in granting this pride and
subject ourselves to torture. When we do karma with some expectations then it
pushes us down to hell. In vedas there are many places where you can come
across Yagnas to relieve ourselves from the sins of past births. But then what
happens is that it results in karma being done to vanish the sins, karma or
yagna being done to accumulate virtue and this results in millions of births
to be undertaken by humans. No one can remove the harm effects of the past
sins by their own efforts.
As long as we are doing karma with the expectation of some outcome there will
be no end to our birth death cycle. If we decide to accept and realise the
power of the Lord then our lives will be comfortable and peaceful. The Lord is
not asking something big and instead asks us to perform karma for Him and
submit the fruits to Him. Is it possible to remain detached to the fruits of
ones action?. Let us take the example of a tree. It stands in sun and rain but
yet gives shade to people who stand underneath the tree. The tree never
expects the people to praise it for providing shade. Similarly a tree would
yield flowers and fruits but it will never claim ownership of the fruits even
though it yielded it. The trees parts like leaves, twigs etc are only used for
the benefit of others and never enjoyed by the tree. Even in Srimad Bagawadam,
Krishna says in Brindavan to lead the life as that of a tree. The tree never
is sad because it has to live for others nor it takes pride in its actions.
The tree continues to do its duty or dharma without any expectations.
The Lord expects us to lead a life as that of the tree and we can surely lead
a life as that of a tree. A washing machine whether it is attended to or not
will keep washing clothes until it needs to be repaired. Similarly fridge or a
vehicle is there and they are all for our own use and derive nothing from us.
They never complain of the burden and continue to do what they have been
designed for. If these machines need to be repaired they never on their own
try to get it done. The users of the machines alone take efforts in getting it
repaired. A car is there and it travels in rain and shine but does not
complain that the passengers inside it are having a nice enjoyable ride.
Humans should also do all activities as the will of the Lord without any
attachments to the fruits of ones action. We are not able to perform poojas
properly because we expect good work to be praised. If we do bhajans for one
hour or regularly read Narayaneeyam or Bagawadam for the sake of being praised
by others then these actions will not yield anything. We must do all our
karmas for the sake of the Lord and dedicate the fruits to Him and is
considered special. Even if we have flaws in doing our karma, the Lord will
discard it and use the rest of the fruits of action. Let us say that we are
cutting vegetables and find that there a portion of it is rotten. We tend to
cut that piece out and use the rest. In a similar way the Lord will throw out
the flawed results and accept the good results if we dedicate our karmas to
Him. This is one of the big secrets of life. A brinjal can't by itself remove
its rotten portions and only the humans who use the vegetable can do so.
Similarly if we do all our karmas for the Lord, He will ensure that all the
good benefits are accepted and the flaws are ignored. Hence we didn't have to
take pains to think whether the fruits of actions will be good or bad. So we
have to accept and do our karmas for the Lord and the Lord definitely knows
what to yield as fruits for each of our actions. A child will play all day and
the mother alone has to think about providing food and ensure that the legs
don't ache due to too much play. Likewise if we do our karma without any
thoughts, the Lord will take care of everything. As with cloud without
retaining a drop of water sheds everything, like a sun shining as per the will
of the Lord, like the wind without preferences breezes through everything ,we
should train ourselves to do all our karmas for the Lord. This alone will
result in inner peace.karmas.
There is more to come in subsequent issues...

RadheKrishna RadheKrishna..
Kulasekara azhwar out of total love for the Lord renders all his hymns. it is hard to find true bhakthi and in Kaliyuga it is even harder to find. In Kaliyuga which is devoid of any virtues, it is a fortunate thing to be able to do bhakthi. In Kaliyuga bhakthi is placed higher than gnana (knowledge) or vairagya (control ) and is confirmed by Srimad Bhagavadam. To be a King and still be able to bhakti is a wonderful thing. When kings of other ages like Thretha yuga or Dwapara yuga do bhakthi it does not turn out to be surprising. But being in kaliyuga and still be able to do bhakti is considered very rare. And to not to give up the intensity of devotion towards the Lord when numerous atrocities happen around is considered a very rare phenomenon.
IF we are in a confused state or don't get what we aspire for, bhakthi and namajapa alone suffers the first plunge towards giving them up. Mankind is ready to give up bhakthi at the first opportunity. We quote our mind and say that we have given up pooja due to our state of Mind. We did not visit the temple or do namajapam due to our sad hearts and give a variety of reasons for giving up bhakthi. We need many reasons for not doing bhakthi and to do bhakti we dont need any reason. We have to do bhakthi and that is the foundation of our lives. If we meet up someone and ask them what they are up to in life, they will give multitude of reasons like studying, going to work, settling down in life, building a home, doing social service etc. There is a foundation to all these activities and that is to breathe. Without breathing none of these activities can be done. Because it is the foundation of everything and it does not need to be mentioned. SImilarly the foundation of life is bhakthi and we cant do anything without it.
Even if we suffer a lot and be chastised by everyone can we still maintain our intense love toward the Lord? Yes it is possible to retain and as with giving everything else we can't and should not give up bhakthi. Inour body hair and nails are present and we have to live with them even if they dont give any great benefit. We say that we are unable to give up relationships etc but are ready to give up the Lord for everything. Those who emerge victorious are the ones who do bhakti and hence we should do bhakthi. King Ambreesha was doing bhakti and once sage Dhuruvasa visited him. The sage said he will return after a dip and they can finish Ekadesi fast after that. The king was waiting for the sage and time was passing by. The king consulted his learned subjects and they told him to drink tulsi water which in theory is equivalent to finishing the fast and as well not equivalent to having food. The sage got angry when he came to know of this. Dhurvasa picks a hair from his head and put its on the ground generating a demon that is bent of killing the king. The king under such circumstances also never questioned the Lord or the benefits he should have derived from performing these fasts. He remained in bhakti, chanting the name of the Lord (Hari) as without any doubts even in such difficult circumstances.
The Lords chakra having observed all this began to chase Dhurvasa all over the planets. This is despite the king not requesting the Lord to do anything to protect him. The Lord chakra (Sudharshana Chakra) was so powerful that the sage has not option but to visit the abode of the Lord and request help. The Lord retorted that His bhaktas are dear to him and that He is helpless to save the sage. The Lord offers the sage to fall in the feet of King Ambareesha as the only way to save himself. The sage rushes and falls at the feet of the King. The King in turn falls at the feet of the sage and says that such a holy person should not fall at the feet of a king and prays to the Lord's chakra to protect Dhurvasha. A year had passed by the time the sage had returned and even then the king retained his bhakthi. He was bent on doing bhakthi and was never even for a moment thought about giving up the Lord or his devotion.
Sometimes we all have eye problems and water oozes out of the eyes causing pain. Even then we dont decide to remove our eyes but instead expect to treat it and save it. If the wound in the leg has gone beyond medication as well , the patient still expects and pleads the doctor to retain his legs. We are not even ready to give up an inch of our flesh but are ready to give up our association with the Lord. The very fact question the bhakthi exhibited by ordinary humanbeings. Bhakthi means that we should at all circumstances retain our love for the Lord as like Lakshmana. Rama was chasing the deer Mareecha and at the time of death Mareecha cries Lakshmana and Sita in Rama's tone. SIta urges Lakshmana to go and save Rama and even indicates to Lakshmana that by not going he is trying to enjoy Her in Rama's absence. Lakshmana decides to go and find out about and Rama is waiting there swearing at Rama for leaving Sita alone. Lakshmana is being bombarded by both the Lord and His consort. Lakshmana came to forest at his own will and despite all these incidents as well he continues to serve Rama and Sita till his end.

Jai Shree Poojyashree Shree Amma
Radhekrishna! Pranams at the lotus feet of Poojyashree Shree Amma and Guruji Mahan Brahmashri Gopalavallidasar. Life is filled with divine experiences due to the grace of GurujiAmma. Each and every moment, GurujiAmma and Guruji have made me realize the power of Bhagavan Sri Krishna. I would like to share a few among those divine experiences.
Truly speaking I always forget to get some important things which I plan to get when I leave home. Once I had gone out, to get a few things, one important thing was to get medicines from the medical shop. When I leave home I used to remember that I need to get it, but when I go nearby the shop I used to forget it and comeback. That day when I was about to leave home, I prayed to GurujiAmma and Guruji that I should remember to get medicines, did namajapam as GurujiAmma and Guruji say and left from home. Unlike other days when I normally forget this, that day when I was going nearby the medical shop, I remembered to get the medicines and got it. This was totally GurujiAmma and Guruji’s grace.
I had gone to Mumbai for some work, and I had to go to a particular place to get some work done. That day it was a peak hour, and normally trains in Mumbai are so very crowded that getting inside safely into the train is by itself quite a big thing. But I couldn’t choose another time, because I had to go for some work, which required me to be there at that time only. So I prayed to GurujiAmma and Guruji that I should get train on time, and get into the train safely to reach the destination on time. I was doing namajapam and standing in the platform waiting for the train. In a few seconds, train came, and to my surprise it was quite free, I could get in easily and was standing freely. Again in a few seconds, I got a seat to sit and I had a very safe and comfortable journey and also reached the destination on time. I was totally drowned and immersed in the grace of GurujiAmma and Guruji. I also wondered as I experienced the power of namajapam and Guru Krupai. As GurujiAmma and Guruji always say with namajapam and Gurudhyanam we can surely enjoy bhagavan and Guru.
My
pranams to Gurujiamma and Guruji

Bhagawan takes avatar in each and every yuga mainly to safeguard the bhaktas and then to destroy the rakshasaas who trouble his bhaktas. So Bhagawan comes to this bhoomi from paramapadham just for the sake of his bhaktas. Hence we come to know that bhaktas are very important to the Lord. Whenever Bhagawan comes to rescue his bhaktas, the other fellow people also reap the benefits.........Our guruji amma gives high respect to all the bhaktas. Hence our Vedhanaadham's every issue will be dedicated to one bhakta. This issue we are dedicating to
