is the holy land with so many bhaktas (devotees). When we go through the Indian
history, there must be a bhakta in every period. That is the greatness of this
sacred land. Bhaktas are the role model for all the bonded souls. They enjoy
their life in a perfect way. Bhaktas surrender themselves to the Lotus feet of
Lord. By hearing or reading bhaktas' divine story, the bonded soul is
enlightened to come out of the worldwide bondages. Radhekrishna!
Sincere chanting and listening to the great stories of devotees will surely give
a peace of mind to everybody, even in this 21st century. So many people think
that listening to the devotee's stories is a waste of time and there is no
benefit at all. If somebody wants to realize the power of bagawan, first of all
they must listen bhaktha charithram [stories of devotees]. There are so many
advantages in listening to baktha charithram.
Our Mind is responsible for our state and no good or bad can be generated by other eople. The Lord at all times is only doing good to everyone
but we lack the energy to understand the actions and the deeds of the Lord. This lack of energy is in the brain and not in the body. The mind can
be fed with energy only by good thoughts and these thoughts have to be planted at a ver young age. We dont even allow our kids to enjoy their
meal. We tell that the next door aunty might visit and hence the child is made to swallow the food in a hurry. You must now realise where these
bad thoughts are planted. What is the big deal if there is no food we need not share and even so if we dont feel like sharing the meal we need not
do so. The neighbours are unlikely to ask and we are alone responsible for grooming bad habits in children..

Bharath is a very special land and contained within it are sacred places and rivers. Devotees born in this sacred Bharath ensure that they propagate bhakti in all corners of the country. This is the precise reason why the fragrance of bhakti can be felt all around our country.
Guruji amma has a special reverence for Meera and in the coming issues, we will enjoy Meera's bhakthi and devoution
RadheKrishna
Meera request Dwarakanath to open the doors or at least open his mouth and say that He is not ready to open the doors for her. She says that
she has come like Rukmini, has the same urge like that of Radha and is pleading like that of Andal and requests the Lord to open the doors. She
further pleads that like Arjuna she has fallen in His feet and is wondering what else the Lord is expecting. Meera further expresses her desire to
unite with the Lord. Those who are born in the kaliyuga need not sing long hymns and instead would be sufficient if they do bhakthi as that of
Meera.
Meera senses that good signs are around and is of the belief that Krishna is bound to come any time. She requests Radhika to recommend
Krishna and at one point she develops an intense desire and decides to see if she or Krishna will win. Meera continuously chants 'Giridhari'
'Giridhari' and is adamant on winning over the Lord. The demi gods are amazed by the bhakthi of Meera. The door opens and the light that
followed engulfs Meera. Meera finally sees the Lord in His full splendor and begins to sing His praise and rushes towards the Lord.
A sudden flash of light appears in the temple and the devotees rub their eyes to see what is happening. They realise that Meera has merged with
the Lord of Dwaraka and the Lord Himself seemed satisifed with this merger. The devotees had their own share of experiences. Some were
frightened by the sight and decided not to return to Dwaraka. Some decided to leave Brindavan and stay in Dwaraka itself.
The secret of Meera's life is that despite all the troubles she underwent she never slipped even one percent in her bhakthi. She was always
engaged in the thought of Krishna and that is why she was able to merge with the Lord. Guruji amma would cry at the sound of Meera. Once
someone commented to guruji amma that Meera bhakthi does not appear to be all that great. Guruji amma cried for three days that She could not
bear these comments on Meera and such is the bhakthi demonstrated by Meera
that we should all try to emulate.
RadheKrishna - In the coming editions we will enjoy another bhaktha charitram

Krishnam Vande Jagadhgurum - Extracts From The Holy Bhagawath Geetha
Radhekrishna.Hinduism
is an ancient religion. All the things that have been spoken in
Hindu religion can be applied in practical life. Although in 21st century till
everyone can apply this in his or her daily life. The aim of Hindu religion is
to provide total happiness to everyone at all times (or any point of time). The
essence of Hinduism is told in "Bhagawad Gita". In order to realize
what is said in Bhagawad Gita it is a compulsory (must) to have an unconditional
faith on Bhagawad Gita. So many people have benefited in their lives because of
the (by reading) shlokas of Bhagawad Gita. In Bhagawad Gita, Bhagawan Shri
Krishna has told the way to lead a happy life in such an easy way that even a
normal layman can easily understand. The slokas are so simple that anyone can
understand and use it practically.

Perumal Thirumozhi was as a result of Kulasekara azhwar longing to see and enjoy Lord Ranganatha. The Thirumozhi also results from the
bhakthi of the azhwar towards Rama and Krishna and he begins with his longing for Lord Ranganatha. Everyone of us have so much of longing
for the worldly affairs but the longing and the love for the lord alone will help us achieve a good state.
Kulasekara azhwar enjoys Lord Ranganatha as Adisheshan in the first two pasurams or songs. Then he enjoys the Lord as enjoyed by Brahma. But the way Gopis enjoyed the Lord is considered to be supreme. This is because the not so intelligent Gopis were fully aware of the strengths of the Lord and believed that Krishna would save them. Of all the avataras, Krishna avatar is considered to be the best and one that can easily be enjoyed.
Sage Narada and Tumburu are singing hymns loudly so that all could enjoy them. Even Prahalada and Dhuruva were born as humans but we are still reciting their glory because their bodies did what they were supposed to do in
this planet - bhakthi. Kulasekara azhwar is overjoyed at the sight of Naradha and Tumburu singing hymns along with Brahma chanting the glories
of the Lord. Kulasekara azhwar concludes that since everybody is visiting Srirangam it should be full of riches and indeed Srirangam is full of
ornate halls and buildings. Even today there is no dearth of these in Srirangam but the only shortcoming is that there is dearth of bhakthas who
could enjoy them. Even today many foreigners have come to Srirangam and have enjoyed the Lord as is. We should enter Srirangam as a holy
city but if we enter to enjoy the mangoes etc it will never workout.
The true fact is that we have not grasped the true riches of Srirangam. In times of Rama and Krishna gold tumblers and glasses were used as
use and throw items and no one would even pick those thrown ones. In the 10,000 year history India has never invaded even a single country. The
richness of our culture, tradition and our intelligence is such that we dont have to invade any country either in the past or in future to fulfill our
requirements. In a month rain would come three times - one for the pious brahmins, the other for the pious wives and the third for those who rule
the land in a just way. In these days it is not raining that way because of dearth of pure brahmins, wives and kings. According to the Lord so much
of rain water has to descend on earth and because of our ego etc it is dry in some parts of the world and rain is pouring at other parts.
Kulasekara azhwar calls Lord Ranganatha as 'Manivanna' The ornament the azhwar refers to is called 'Indra Neela Mani' or the jewel that emits a
blue ray of light. Even Periazhwar calls Him Manivanna and how is that a poor brahmin would have had access to that jewel. It is because
Periazhwar saw the Lord and decided that the jewel would resemble the blue hue of the Lord. The Lord of Srirangam despite all His powers is
very humble and He does not request anyone to sing his glory. Despite that all of the bhakthas come to Srirangam and sing his glory. Kulasekera
azhwar longs to take a bow in front of the Lord and awaits such a day...
We will enjoy another Pasuram in our next edition.

Samarpanam parithraanaaya sadhoonaam vinasaya cha dhushkrutham dharma sansthapanarthaya sambhavami yuge yuge
Bhagawan takes avatar in each and every yuga mainly to safeguard the bhaktas and then to destroy the rakshasaas who trouble his bhaktas. So Bhagawan comes to this bhoomi from paramapadham just for the sake of his bhaktas. Hence we come to know that bhaktas are very important to the Lord. Whenever Bhagawan comes to rescue his bhaktas, the other fellow people also reap the benefits.........Our guruji amma gives high respect to all the bhaktas. Hence our Vedhanaadham's every issue will be dedicated to one bhakta. This issue we are dedicating to
the one of the great eternal devotees of the Lord namely - 'Jatayu'![]() |
