Mahatmas - New Bhaktacharitras Each Month India
is the holy land with so many bhaktas (devotees). When we go through the Indian
history, there must be a bhakta in every period. That is the greatness of this
sacred land. Bhaktas are the role model for all the bonded souls. They enjoy
their life in a perfect way. Bhaktas surrender themselves to the Lotus feet of
Lord. By hearing or reading bhaktas' divine story, the bonded soul is
enlightened to come out of the worldwide bondages. Radhekrishna!
Sincere chanting and listening to the great stories of devotees will surely give
a peace of mind to everybody, even in this 21st century. So many people think
that listening to the devotee's stories is a waste of time and there is no
benefit at all. If somebody wants to realize the power of bagawan, first of all
they must listen bhaktha charithram [stories of devotees]. There are so many
advantages in listening to baktha charithram.
Bharath is a very special land and contained within it are sacred places and rivers. Devotees born in this sacred Bharath ensure that they propagate bhakti in all corners of the country. This is the precise reason why the fragrance of bhakti can be felt all around our country.
Guruji amma has a special reverence for Meera and in the coming issues, we will enjoy Meera's bhakthi and devoution
RadheKrishna
Lord Krishna indicated to Rai Dasar that He was with Meera as she is very innocent and has no wordly thoughts. Rai Dasar asked Meera
whether she like Giridhara Gopala to which Meera replied that she liked Him very much. Meera in turn also requested Rai Dasar to hand over the
idol to her as Rai Dasar was stationed in Brindavan and is enjoying Krishna every day. This is the power of Sathgurus that once they handover
the Lord to their disciples, they will never ask them to return at any cost. Thus ended the celebration of Lord Krishnas birthday and everybody
packed off to their destinations.
RaiDasar before leaving prays to Krishna that He should not leave Meera even if Meera decides to leave Him. Rai Dasar also instructs the Lord
to take a vow that He shall not leave Meera any day. Rai Dasar also initiates Meera and tells her to constantly chant Giridhari Giridhari. After that
Rai Dasar also departs with the thought that Meera will become a gopi in due course. Meera begins to constantly chant due to her gurus
blessings. Lord begins to play with Meera at her requests. She once asks Him to show how he managed to danced on the head of a snake
without falling off and Krishna shows the scene to her.
Meera's mind was preoccupied with Giridhari and we should also attain that state. We must sleep with the thought of the Lord and get up in
between to converse with him. The experience must be had by everyone and they will realise that sleep is very less comforting to getting up and
engaging in conversation with the Lord. This is how Meera started to spend her days always engaging Giridhari in every action of her life.
Meera begins to grow up and she always has a glow in her face with out an inch of sadness. Meera attains puberty but yet her ownership towards
Krishna did not change a bit even though her wordly behaviour began to take a different shape. As time passed, Meera started to begin singing
bhajans out of pure love for the Lord. From head to toe she is filled with devoution for the Lord. Dudha Rao, in the absence of Meeras parents,
decides to marry her off..
Meera also cooks for Krishna just like how the Gopis did. As a princess she need not engage in cooking but does so for the love of the Lord. Her
behaviour and dress sense resembled closer to that of gopis rather than that of a princess. But her singing and her flawless physical form
amazed everyone. When Dudha Rao brought up the topic of marriage, Meera says that she is already the wife of Giridhari. Grand dad says that
Meera is no Radha or Rukmini to marry Krishna but Meera retorts that she is no less qualified to marry Krishna. Dudha Rao insists that the world
will ridicule but Meera replies that the world did so to Krishna and Rama themselves.
Dudha Rao was determined to marry Meera off and leaves the place after that conversation with her. Meera was determined to hold on to
Giridhari and swears that she wont live without her. Dudha Rao fixed Kumbha Rana on his request to marry Meera to him and started preparing
for the marriage.

Krishnam Vande Jagadhgurum - Extracts From The Holy Bhagawath Geetha
Radhekrishna.Hinduism
is an ancient religion. All the things that have been spoken in
Hindu religion can be applied in practical life. Although in 21st century till
everyone can apply this in his or her daily life. The aim of Hindu religion is
to provide total happiness to everyone at all times (or any point of time). The
essence of Hinduism is told in "Bhagawad Gita". In order to realize
what is said in Bhagawad Gita it is a compulsory (must) to have an unconditional
faith on Bhagawad Gita. So many people have benefited in their lives because of
the (by reading) shlokas of Bhagawad Gita. In Bhagawad Gita, Bhagawan Shri
Krishna has told the way to lead a happy life in such an easy way that even a
normal layman can easily understand. The slokas are so simple that anyone can
understand and use it practically.

Kulasekara Azhwar is constantly engaged in the thought of enjoying Lord Ranganatha and as a result his mind was transformed into Srirangam. The mind is a very big entity and we can visualize huge things even a city at the very thought of mentioning its name. Hence all the bhakthas insist that we should transform our minds into Divya Deshams or Divine places of worship. The azhwar's mind was preoccuped with Srirangam and he sees the Lord on Adishesha and wonders whether the Lord or the divine Adishesha is more beautiful. At times, we come to conclusion that bhaktas outweigh the Lord.
The Lord gets increased majesticity by the very fact that he is reclined on Adishesha.A king has to sleep royally , a child has to sleep like its nature and similarly Lord Ranganatha needs to be sleeping on Adishesha to be deemed acceptable. Everyone needs to retain his/her nature that is true for Rama and Krishna also. It will not look nice if Rama steals butter and Krishna moves shoulder to shoulder with Anjenaya. Similarly it will not be acceptable if Lord Ranganatha does not sleep on Adishesha.
Kulasekara Azhwar begins his Perumal Thirumozhi with a meditation on Adishesha. This is because if we begin to mediate on bhakthas then automatically we will get the grace of the Lord. Likewise , Kamsa though not a bhaktha was constanly engaged inthe thought of the Lord and saw Krishna everywhere. We are good in dialogue rendering and indicate that we are always engaged and living in the thought of the Lord. But how many of us think of the Lord and buy new dress for Him during Diwali? We have kept the Lord in statues and pictures and dont even think that the Lord is one of our family members and this is the harsh truth. The Lord cant be contained in anything but since the bhakthas or devotees have kept the Lord under in their hearts and minds they are considered to be very special. Kulasekara azhwar enjoys Adishesha as follows..
Adishesha has 1000 heads and his forehead glows illuminating the Lord who is sleeping on him. We dont see all his thousand heads as ordinary mortals would get terrified. It is with Divya dristhi or divine vision alone we would be able to enjoy the illumination generated by Adishesha. Also Adishesha in enjoying every bit of the Lord with 2000 eyes. The pleasure derived by Adishesha by meditating on the Lord cant be explained even by Adishesha. The Lord is considered to be the first divine Light whose brilliance shone every where. But Adishesha's brilliance is surpassing even that of the Lord as enjoyed by the Azhwar. Adisheshas is the king of all serpants and this is because he is always meditating on the Lord. One can live like a king only if we have the Lord in our minds and hearts.
The Lord himself climbed to lie on Adishesha considering his bhakthi and nature expounded by him. Adishesha is twisting and turning his body to ensure that the Lord will not face any hardships. This is the secret of life and we have to live in such a way that the Lord wants us to live. Kulasekara azhwar gives importance not Srirangam or to the Lord but begins with Adishesha indicating his greatness in four lines. Adishesha wants everyone to enjoy the Lord and hence is wearing rubies all over his forehead and illuminates the Lord for our benefit.
The things that we see for enjoyment will not last for ever and at the best would last for a couple of months. But the same cant be said for the Lord and whatever state we are in we would always long to see the Lord again and again. Kulasekara azhwars similarly longs to see Lord Rangantha , whose feet are gently washed continuously by the holy Cauvery waters and wonders when his eyes would enjoy such endless pleasure at the sight of the Lord.

Samarpanam parithraanaaya sadhoonaam vinasaya cha dhushkrutham dharma sansthapanarthaya sambhavami yuge yuge
Bhagawan takes avatar in each and every yuga mainly to safeguard the bhaktas and then to destroy the rakshasaas who trouble his bhaktas. So Bhagawan comes to this bhoomi from paramapadham just for the sake of his bhaktas. Hence we come to know that bhaktas are very important to the Lord. Whenever Bhagawan comes to rescue his bhaktas, the other fellow people also reap the benefits.........Our guruji amma gives high respect to all the bhaktas. Hence our Vedhanaadham's every issue will be dedicated to one bhakta. This issue we are dedicating to
the one of the great eternal devotees of the Lord namely - 'Vedha Vyasa'![]() |
