Radhekrishna!
No one really teaches how to
live happily in this world. Even today, little kids are kept under constant
state of mental pressure and tension. Bus is going to arrive shortly, very
soon, keeping reading continuously and get first rank in class, etc. Evenwhile
in womb itself people decide what to do with the kid, whether it is a boy or a
girl, what to do and which school to enroll. It is big trouble by itself. Nobody
is allowing kids to be kids. Parents force the kids to carry the same level of
desires, ambitions and anxiety as carried by them. In addition to carrying their
big load of books, they carry these worries on their backs as well. I am feeling
sorry to observe the state of affairs of a kid. Why are people trying to do
this? The only reason is due to
lack of bhakti. Do bhakti and do your duties properly as well. Radhekrishna
satsangam advocates that you cater to your ambitions without any
hesitations. If you want to study further, earn more or build a dream home,
please go for such desires. There is no need to deviate from these desires. But
while doing so, chant continuously within your heart. Such chanting will help
achieve these goals without any difficulties. You can achieve all these actions.
This is the only truth and chanting can be done simultaneously as one is
cooking, eating or even sleeping. Before sleeping, how many thoughts cross our
minds. Today rice is selling at 25 Rs a kg, daal is selling at 50 Rs a kg. What
will be the future prices of these commodities and what should we save now to be
able to afford this in future? Doesn't one think about such things before dozing
off? In today's world our desires
are the ones that cheat us. In olden days did people not get diseases? Did they
not have good food? They were in better health than we are now. They never
lost any tooth, never lost their power of vision. They were in perfect
health and if they started to walk they could cover good distances. Are we able
to do this in today's age? We crib that our legs ache, can't move and hence need
an auto to be transported to destination. We could have grown up in terms of age
but we have retained the same desires as that of a child. Therefore let us aim
for the highest forms of desires - bhakti, Jnanam (knowledge of the truth) and
vairagyam. If a person attempts to aim for
these highest desires then he can achieve anything and can have a higher
state of living. The only way to achieve these highest desires is to do
namajapam (chanting of Lord's name) . There is nothing else that needs to be
done to attain them. There is no need to hold your breath, spend thousands on
flowers and sandalwood or (do abhisekham) shower the Lord with 108 pots of milk.
Lord is not asking or has never asked these rituals. They can be done as there
is nothing wrong in doing so but they are not desired by the Lord. What Lord
expects from each individual is to do bhakti with a pure heart. Why is
Lord even suggesting this? Just to ensure that humans can live happily and
peacefully. Lord does not stand to gain anything because of our bhakti. Despite lack of our bhakti,
Bhagavan - Karunasagaran (Ocean of mercy), always does ensure good things are
blessed upon the human population. Lord is taking care of everything. The
digestion that takes place in our body, does it happen with any effort on our
part? Observe this from your childhood. Have the parents ever said, I am going
to feed the child and let the digestion begin? It happens by the mercy of the
Lord. Nothing can be achieved by the humans because they are by nature helpless
to accomplish such activities. But one thing that humans can do is namajapam and
this can certainly be done by us.So let us do chanting with determined faith and
bhakti.
Blessings to one and all in the world.

Listen to Amma's divine message in Her own voice! (in Tamil)
It
is fortunate to listen and be blessed to Guruji Amma's Sathsangam through
phone irrespective of one's domicile in any nook and corner of this universe
and many more souls should yearn to enjoy this bliss! Since people are easily
tempted to the uncivilized activities and are trapped in the web of movies,
television programmes and some unpleasant magazines, more and more Sathsangams
should be encouraged and attended to keep oneself engaged in the union of the
Almighty, which is the only eternal truth. Just as hills are made of hard stones
alone and its originality cannot be replaced, likewise Bhagawaan is the eternal
truth and at a stage each one realizes this truth. Its no compulsion and even
those who have disassociated will realize this truth. Such is the greatness of
Bhakthi and Naamasankeerthana. Since, Naamasankeerthana is the Kali Yuga Dharma,
there is no match to it. Radhekrishna!

Mahatmas - New Bhaktacharitras Each Month
India is the holy land with so many bhaktas (devotees). When we go through the Indian history, there must be a bhakta in every period. That is the greatness of this sacred land. Bhaktas are the role model for all the bonded souls. They enjoy their life in a perfect way. Bhaktas surrender themselves to the Lotus feet of Lord. By hearing or reading bhaktas' divine story, the bonded soul is enlightened to come out of the worldwide bondages.
Radhekrishna! Sincere chanting and listening to the great stories of devotees will surely give a peace of mind to everybody, even in this 21st century. So many people think that listening to the devotee's stories is a waste of time and there is no benefit at all. If somebody wants to realize the power of bagawan, first of all they must listen bhaktha charithram [stories of devotees]. There are so many advantages in listening to baktha charithram.
Radhe Krishna!!! Its not extremely effortless to acquire the glorious darshan of Bagawan. Only by the grace of Bagawan one will obtain the magnificent darshan of Bagawan.
The astonishing thing is the clemency of Guru. Thirumangai Mannan was most fortunate that Bhagwan showers His darshan and grace to him as his Guru like Krishnam vande jagath Gurum. Thirumangai Aazhwar also felt enormous delight to glance the gorgeous appearance of Bagawan.

Thirumangai Aazhwar realized and just thought of his sins, bad qualities and lost time. Thirumangai Aazhwar started to recite Pasuram and these Pasuram came into Dhivya Prabandham as Periya Thirumozhi. Overwhelmed with his Bhakthi, Bagawan gave a wonderful darshan with His Thayaar (wife) on Garudazhwar. Thirumangai Aazhwar was overjoyed with pleasure.
Bagawan inquired Thirumangai Mannan to voyage all the country to spread Bhakthi. Thirumangai Aazhwar traveled to all the countries to spread Bhakthi along with his wife Kumuthavalli Naachiyaar and his eight ministers for all the people.
This is the powerful strength of Bhakthaas. Bhakthaas are always in dhyanam and get pleasure from that. They desire all the worldly people to experience Bhakthi by which they are experiencing the same by doing dhyanam. For the happiness of people they just forget their own life and their pleasure. Because of these Bakthas grace and mercy the people who live in full of distress, arrogance and contemptible would also get Bhakthi and blissful life.

Krishnam Vande Jagadhgurum - Extracts From The Holy Bhagawath Geetha
Radhekrishna.Hinduism
is an ancient religion. All the things that have been spoken in
Hindu religion can be applied in practical life. Although in 21st century till
everyone can apply this in his or her daily life. The aim of Hindu religion is
to provide total happiness to everyone at all times (or any point of time). The
essence of Hinduism is told in "Bhagawad Gita". In order to realize
what is said in Bhagawad Gita it is a compulsory (must) to have an unconditional
faith on Bhagawad Gita. So many people have benefited in their lives because of
the (by reading) shlokas of Bhagawad Gita. In Bhagawad Gita, Bhagawan Shri
Krishna has told the way to lead a happy life in such an easy way that even a
normal layman can easily understand. The slokas are so simple that anyone can
understand and use it practically.

The Divine Songs - Dhivyaprabhandham
UnEru selvaththu udan piRavi yaan vEndEn
(Perumaal Thirumozhi -
677/1000/4000)
Meaning
Kulasekara Azhwar states that he wants a human form only if he gets to be a humble servant, serving the Lord of Tirumala, else he doesn't want human birth wherein one encounters many hurdles like egoism, self pride, etc...instead he prefers to be born as a bird (crane) leading a carefree life on top of the sacred seven hills.
Explanation
Kulasekara Azhwar is longing and praying to be born in the Tirumalai divya desham. Kulashekara Azhwar says that he would prefer to be born as a Naray or Kurugu (a kind of bird), in the lake called Koneri which is located in Tirumalai where the Perumal is holding the conch called 'Panchajanyam' in HIS left hand.
There is no need for him to ask for a birth like this. Birds don't have a propensity to think. Birds don't have the capability of realizing that they are not just a physical body but an Aathma. The birds due to their sins keep on flying here and there, feed themselves with the food which they manage to get and somehow spend their days. Kulashekara Azhwar inspite of acquiring a divine human form where he could very well segregate between his Aathma and physical body, he rejected it. The reason is that even though getting an human form is sanctified thing, the human being are caught in the illusion (Maya) of this nature and hence they are also leading a life just like an bird or any other animal for that matter. This physical human body does not have any intelligence of its own. It is only due to the presence of Aathma that the human body has intellect. This is so because once the Aathma departs from the body many people shed tears by embracing it, many a times this body is preserved on ice, it is tied and also kept on fire to be burnt or else it is buried but the human body remains totally ignorant about this. The body has an intellectual power only till the time the life persists inside it. Hence this body has no intellectual power of its own.
As this human body is trapped in illusions it losses its thinking aptitude. One may think what is the use of leading a life as a Naray (a kind of bird) on Tirumalai, Tirupathi. Even though this life is not full of knowledge or a big understanding about the difference between the physical body and Aathma but the great bhakthas of Perumal reside on this Tirumalai and keep on chanting the nama Govinda at all the times. All the belongings we get over there is the left overs of the bhaagwadhas which is called as uchista prasadam. Not only has this but all the 30 crore deity keep on arriving on the Tirumalai for worshipping the Perumal due to which the graceful look of bhaagawadhas (Kripa Kadaksham) will fall on us.
When we are be seated as a bird over a tree and in case if some bhaktha comes and sits below the tree and looks upon the bird reciting the nama of Bagawan then even though that bird might not have a great tapas, yogam or knowledge about gnyana Yogam or Karma Yogam but only due to the graceful look of that bhaktha that bird shall attain an celestial place in its life. Hence it is really very fortunate to be born as a bird and remain on the Tirumalai rather than being born as a human being and misusing the janma. This is so because for that bird each day the life starts and ends on the Tirumalai only. Even if our life comes to an end on Tirumalai we are bound to attain salvation (Moksha).
When the Bagawan comes on the streets seated on HIS chariot which is known as Tiruvedhi Ula, and when we as a bird look upon the Tirumalai Appan and concurrently Bagawan also looks at it thinking that the bird is looking at HIM and showers HIS mercy on it, we involuntarily becomes a object of HIS mercy. Even if we are devoid of devotion over Bagawan, the purpose of our life shall be fulfilled by the intake of even a drop of water from the lakes of Koneri, Aakasha Ganga, Papanashanam, the water of which are used for Thirumanjanam (for Abhishekam of Lord).
Whatever it may be the Tirumalai Tirupati is enormously a sacred and holy place. We can achieve a superior position in our life if we have a full-fledged knowledge about this sacred place or even if we are ignorant about it. If a doubt crops up as to how this is possible then apparent description to this is, when well learned persons are unwell they approach a medical shop to buy and have the medicine which they think is apt for them and get relief due to that medicine. At the same time if there is an uneducated person or a child who is totally unaware about the medicine or its name, cost or utility but if a known person gives the accurate medicine then their sickness gets cured, in the same way Tirumalai Tirupathi is a common place which showers its grace evenly on everybody.
Hence Kulashekara Azhwar says that it is really very fortunate to lead a life as a Naray in the lake called Koneri which is located in the godly Tirumalai. See what a stunning bhakthi this Azhwar has. In this world everyone aspires to be born as a king but such a life won't endow our Aathma with the peacefulness it desires. Hence Kulashekara Azhwar utters from the bottom of his heart that it is really very gracious to lead a life as a bird on the Tirumalai Tirupati which has no knowledge about Aathma than living a life which shall provide more soothing happiness to our body there by disregarding the happiness of our Aathma.
For us the definition of Bhakthi means following the traditions, customs, practices, ritual and doing the poojas but in reality bhakthi is beyond this. Bhakthi is something which is related to ones heart. Kulashekara Azhwar had a very fine knowledge that one can attain a superior position in his life even if one is leading a life as a Naray (A kind of bird) on the Tirumalai Tirupati. This is what Kulashekara Azhwar prays to the Perumal as well as the Tirupati divya desham (holy pilgrimage place). Whatever be the situation or circumstances one can do bhakthi and irrespective of the situation one should do bhakthi. To state very truly and correctly, one can experience an immense peacefulness and pleasure by doing bhakthi while one is still acquainted with the things in this world. Truly no one would have ever thought that they should do bhakthi by being born as a bird in their life time.
Why Kulashekara Azhwar was engrossed with such a thought was that, he we deeply impressed by the services (Kaingaryam) offered by a bird called Jadayu to Lord Rama in Ramayana. Jadayu fought with Ravana for the sake of Lord Rama and met its end and hence was lucky enough to get its last rites (funeral) performed by Lord Rama HIMSELF. In the same way all the monkeys also attained a superior position in their lives by offering services to Lord Rama. Similarly during Krishna Aavathar due to the relation with Bagawan all the cows started pouring milk abundantly that is they became 'Vallal Perum Pashukal'. Even though we are born as a bird or animal but if we are allied with Bagawan then we can surely attain a superior position in our life. Our life will be of mere waste if we are devoid of relation with Bagawan in spite of being born as a human being.
Bearing in mind the past lives which we have wasted, we should pray like Kulashekara Azhwar that at least the present and the future life should be for experiencing the grace of Bagawan. If we do so we can really lead a very contented life. It is undeniably a true fact that even a bird can do bhakthi. This Bharatha Bhoomi is really a sacred land. All the places present in this Bharatha Bhoomi are really divine and they provide us with warmth and comfort. Our life would really be very peaceful if we respect and admire our Bharatha Bhoomi and live with deliberate devotion. One should keep on doing bhakthi with humbleness and politeness irrespective of their prosperity and pray to Bagawan to enable them to do bhakthi.
Even when
Kuchelar (Sudama) was blessed with a luxurious life, he prayed to Bagawan that he should always be HIS child and should keep on doing bhakthi without letting any kind of thoughts to occupy his mind till the end of his life. Henceone
should always strive to attain an excellent and superior bhakthi.
Radhe Krishna!!! We shall meet with another pasuram next time.Still a lot of explanation can be provided for this pasuram but as we have to enjoy other pasuram the elaboration has been limited.
Radhe Krishna!!!

Spring Of Spiritual Showers - Experiences Of Bhaktas, Disciples Of Poojyashree
Shree Amma, Our Gurujiamma An experience of a disciple

Sri Gurubhyonnamaha!!
Radhekrishna!! With the blessings of Guruji Amma, the Sathsang in Uganda went on very well. Many were able
to listen and found immense happiness with the preachings of Mahan Brahmasri Gopalavallidasan, in short-as called by many with
love 'Our Guruji'. Though we all are back after an 18 days sathsangam from Uganda, we are still in those great memories and happiness got from guruji's company. His mere presence made all of us happy and we all were always with our mouth wide open with a happy smile. We all are really blessed to have a Guruji like that. This experience is (enjoying his company at a stretch for the first time) so great feel like it is enough for the whole life, but the other side says it should continue for ever.
While Guruji was narrating the story of Rukmini Kalyanam we really saw chenthaamarai kaigal. Again and again we saw Guruji's ullankaigal as red as lotus flower. We got a doubt may be his palms are of that shade. We asked Guruji to show his palms while coming from sathsang, to our surprise it was normal. We told him what we saw and with his usual, sweet smile said
'ellam Guruji Ammavin aseervadam!!' ( all is due to gurujiamma's blessings
). Many from Uganda sathsangam were wondering what they are going to do after Guruji leaves for India! It is same with each and every one who enters in to this great kingdom of GurujiAmma!!
This is one of my many experiences given by Guruji Amma, which makes me still wonder and shed tears for her kindness. It is a very old but still green in my memories and sharing it with all of you for that of Guruji's order.
It was 2003, my elder daughter was writing her tenth public exams. She was in hostel at that time. She wanted me to come and wish her in person on first day of the exams because the teachers were telling her she will not do well in the exams because she was not
at all tensed and afraid of her exams.(She stood school first in that exam!)
I took
prior permission from the school and went one hour before the school bus leaves
for the examination centre, so that the school authorities have enough time to inform her. I went and reported and they also told me that they will inform her and I was standing near the hostel entrance waiting for the bus for nearly forty five minutes. The bus came went away with out stopping. I heard her friends shouting Sivapriya your mother is here. I was very much disturbed and disappointed and also afraid for her feelings. The school authorities did not inform her. If her friends
hadn't mentioned to her about my arrival, she might have thought I couldn't make it. Now there
was a compulsion that I should meet her.
I asked my driver to follow the bus immediately because I didn't know where the
examination centre was and she might go into the exam hall before I reach there. Without our knowledge Guruji Amma makes us to do namajapam in difficult situations like this. We were following the bus and after sometime we
had to cross a road. The bus went and a gush of traffic was coming towards us and we were in a position such that we could not cross the road and may have missed the bus. Namajapam was coming vigorously.
Suddenly an elderly man looking like an insane person with a large poll in one hand and showing the other hand as if ordering them with great authority, stopped the vehicles. With the mere glimpse of
Him, anyone could tell that HE was the HE who came to our rescue , 'sent by Guruji Amma!!'
After we crossed the road immediately I turned my head as I wanted to see HIM
again. But HE was not there and the traffic was moving normally. Every thing happened in a split of second. Maybe the anxiety of a mother and the want of a daughter could not be understood by the school
authorities but our Guruji Amma knows. The ALMIGHTY knows.
I remember a song of Ramadasa Ramuni 'vaaramu, maa kemi vichaaramu? Swami needhe bhaaramu, Daasarathe jeevadhaaramu.' After I met my Guruji Amma, I am able to experience all kinds of assurances and miracles happened and read in books. They are true!! My Guruji Amma is there for me to give
everything that I need!!
Isn't it so great to have a Guru like that? Isn't it true according to my Guruji
Amma's song, 'Kannanai Kanda pinnum Kaanavum Edhum undo Krishnane' There is nothing in this world is great to see or enjoy after we met POOJYASRI SRI AMMA!!!!
RADHEKRISHNA!!!
