Mahatmas - New Bhaktacharitras Each Month India
is the holy land with so many bhaktas (devotees). When we go through the Indian
history, there must be a bhakta in every period. That is the greatness of this
sacred land. Bhaktas are the role model for all the bonded souls. They enjoy
their life in a perfect way. Bhaktas surrender themselves to the Lotus feet of
Lord. By hearing or reading bhaktas' divine story, the bonded soul is
enlightened to come out of the worldwide bondages. Radhekrishna!
Sincere chanting and listening to the great stories of devotees will surely give
a peace of mind to everybody, even in this 21st century. So many people think
that listening to the devotee's stories is a waste of time and there is no
benefit at all. If somebody wants to realize the power of bagawan, first of all
they must listen bhaktha charithram [stories of devotees]. There are so many
advantages in listening to baktha charithram.
Bharath is a very special land and contained within it are sacred places and rivers. Devotees born in this sacred Bharath ensure that they propagate bhakti in all corners of the country. This is the precise reason why the fragrance of bhakti can be felt all around our country.
Guruji amma has a special reverence for Meera and in the coming issues, we will enjoy Meera's bhakthi and devoution

The divine bhaktha was not born too far back in time and about 450 years ago in the Indian holy land between the years 1558 and 1559. She was born as the grandchild of Dudha Rao. Meera's parents did yield a jewel and took care of her exactly in the same way that Rukmini was being brought up. The parents had only the joy of giving birth to her but were not fortunate enough to live to experience the bhakthi the child will exhibit. Even though Devaki and Vasudeva did penance to give birth to Lord Krishna, it was Yasoda who enjoyed all the childhood pranks of the Lord. Meera lost her parents at a very young age very much in the same way as Naradha in his previous birth lost his parents at a young age but still continued to do bhakti.
This gave Meera an opportunity to understand the nature of the world and generally it takes many years before humans begin to accept and understand the happenings int his world. It is human nature to cry over lost things and things that they could not procure.Meera understood the laws of nature at a very tender age. Dudha Rao explained the theories behind human evolution to Meera who was at a very tender age.He advised that due to the Lords will her parents have perished and will not return. Even if they return to this planet, they will not come backs as her parents. Meera then asked her grand father to tell her whom she can rely on if her parents are no more. Dudha Rao explained to Meera that Lord Krishna is the only one whom she can rely on for her inner happiness.
Meera requested Dudha Rao to explain how she can attain Krishna as she considers him to the Lord and would be very difficult to attain. Dudha Rao in turn advised Meera to be always in thought of Krishna and that alone would ensure that the Lord comes running towards her. Meera accepted her condition
and started to growth up.
Guruji amma always used to advise that nobody is ready to accept the events in life as is. Those who are ready to do so can win over this world. Rather than complaining about cold or hot weather we must try to accept them. Meera was fortunate that she could associate herself with Krishna's devotees and mingle with them. This association (Satsangam) is considered to be very rare. Even Jadabharathar says that Satsangam can't be attained by penance , by being virtueous or by following strict rules and regulations. The only way to understand the laws of the world and enjoy the Lord is to surrender to the feet of the devotees of the Lord. It is the mind that deceives us and even Kabilar says this to his mother that the mind is responsible for both Moksha and attachment. If we attach our mind to people it results in attachment and if it gets attached to saints and devotees of the Lord, it will liberate us.
Dudha Rao was fond of satsangam and would pray that his senses, body and atma should fully enjoy the Lord. We should also pray similarly before going to satsangam and ensure that we grasp everything. We must be hungry enough to come and listen to the stories of the Lord. If we are physically hungry even stale food will be enjoyed and similarly if we have the same apetite for satsangam even known stories will open up thousands of messages for us. We should listen to satsangam as how Parikshit did. It was not that he had not listened to Krishna leela. Kunti, Draupathi,Arujuna, Yudhistra had all explained the leelas to him but he still listened from Sage Suka as if he is hearing it for the first time and hence he attained Moksha in seven days.

An experience of a disciple in his / her own words
SRI GURUBHYONNAMAHA
Radhekrishna!! After a long time Guruji AMMA has made me to come forward with our experiences. It is not that nothing has happened all these days. As Guruji AMMA says, “dinam dinam navam navam!!”, each day ,each minute, in each incident we are seeing GurujiAmma’s karunai.
As in our previous experiences, without any plans or thoughts, some things happen without control, often making us wonder why we are doing it. Nowadays, we stopped questioning.One day, my wife was sorting out all the homeopathy medicine bottles in our house, (100 to 150 bottles) that had been a massive, long pending job. But it was getting finished quickly. The next day we came to know the reason. She had a severe viral fever. Paracetamol didn’t work and she was suffering a lot. When we called GurujiAppa and informed him of her illness, he prescribed some medicines to be taken immediately and all of them were already there at home. If we hadn’t done the sorting previously, we couldn’t have known if we had the medicines or not and we couldn’t have reached it to her immediately.Though Guruji AMMA is constantly guiding and protecting us, I am able to bring here only very few incidents. With Guruji AMMA’s krupai, we are getting well settled in India though I came here only less than a year ago. I am able to find some clients and I have also set up an office in a good location. As I described in my previous experience, my rental- house hunting was also very successful. With Guruji AMMA’s blessings, we started extending our old house with another floor. Everywhere I went for this work, like raising loans or for looking at building material, etc, every single person was extremely cooperative and willing to help, as if I were their best friend, and everything fell in place so smoothly that I felt like someone had already done a lot of groundwork for me.
This being the rainy season, we were hesitant about putting up the roof slab before Diwali, but without doing it, we wouldn’t be able to progress on any other construction work. Though we don’t talk much about construction with Guruji Amma or Guruji Appa, they would very kindly enquire about it and we would find later on, that those very areas of work require attention. Like this, they advised us to put the roof slab before Diwali. Though we were not sure and were very much afraid of the heavy rains, we made all preparations. There was plenty of cloud cover the morning when the roof slab casting was scheduled. We did naamajapam, praying to Gurujiamma to take care of the work. A slight drizzle started but stopped in a matter of minutes and the clouds moved on. Later on we found out that there were heavy rains all around the place, excepting ours.
That morning, we had only planned to visit the site for one or two hours and come back as we had plenty of other work. But somehow, we felt unable to move away from there till the entire slab was cast which took up to 7 o’clock in the evening. Namajapam was coming on without effort constantly and vigorously. We came to know the reason only after a miracle happened. The work was about to finish in one hour, and we could hear the workers at the site shouting and the machine stopped suddenly and everybody was running towards one end of the compound. I rushed over to the spot and found that a worker had lost his footing and had fallen from a height of 15 ft! The ground beneath was full of stones, and there was a big pit full of rain water that also had some broken, jagged pieces of concrete. We prayed hard to GurujiAmma as we were very much afraid about what had happened to him. To our great surprise, the person was only mildly shocked and recovered after the other workers poured a lot of water on him. One of them grabbed the man by tightly embracing him from behind around the shoulders and gave him a thorough shake up. Surprise of surprises, the fallen man started walking and talking normally and was perfectly alright without even a small bruise on him!
