1. The Divine Message - Message From Poojyashree Shree Amma - The Ultimate Liberator Bestowed By Lord Shri Krishna!

RadheKrishna! Tastes differ from person to person but that is related to the body. But bhakthi or devoution is common to all. We should all possess the quality to sacrifice like that of the quality of the Lord. In those days devotees possessed those qualities. Meera was one among them as well and she had infinite patience. If we analyze the history of the devotees you will find that the only common trait is devoution towards the Lord. Kuselar devoution is also great in that he longed to meet the Lord and went with borrowed rice flakes.

The Lord never sleeps in the morning or in the night. He is ever alert so that He can attend to the call of his children. He is not aware from which town a girl might call to receive His belssings. Let me explain this in simpler terms. In temples the Lord is in the form of 'Archavatharmoorthy' or in the form of statues. In important temples you will find that the door close for just an hour and the poojas start soon after very early in the morning. The Lord has been standing for ages to bless us and we cant estimate the time or the duration of this. This is because we are all children of the Lord irrespecive of the country or creed that we belong to.

We forget this and out of our ego we begin to boast that I achieved this due to my intelligence. If we are so intelligent then why not produce a baby and try to fix a brain for that. At the most we can make only dolls and that too if we throw away the battery it becomes useless. Shall we try to fix a wig for the doll and expect it to grow like natural hair? Can the battery grow this hair?

Let us all do namajapam and in this kaliyuga this is the easiest way to achieve the Lord. Despite numerous activities, falling a prey to jealousy and ourselves becoming jealous of others resulting in heating our brains will all subside in namajapam. No one can sacrifice like how the Lord is doing. Let us remember one thing that in all temples the Lord has been waiting for ages for us to do bhakthi. The Lord gives us everything and in return we offer a pittance in the form of a garland or a saree. The Lord is not asking anything except requesting us to give our minds to Him. The Lord has only one intention for this and that his children , which are us, should be happy and live well.

2. Mahatmas - New Bhaktacharitras Each Month

India is the holy land with so many bhaktas (devotees). When we go through the Indian history, there must be a bhakta in every period. That is the greatness of this sacred land. Bhaktas are the role model for all the bonded souls. They enjoy their life in a perfect way. Bhaktas surrender themselves to the Lotus feet of Lord. By hearing or reading bhaktas' divine story, the bonded soul is enlightened to come out of the worldwide bondages.

Radhekrishna! Sincere chanting and listening to the great stories of devotees will surely give a peace of mind to everybody, even in this 21st century. So many people think that listening to the devotee's stories is a waste of time and there is no benefit at all. If somebody wants to realize the power of bagawan, first of all they must listen bhaktha charithram [stories of devotees]. There are so many advantages in listening to baktha charithram.

Bharath is a very special land and contained within it are sacred places and rivers. Devotees born in this sacred Bharath ensure that they propagate bhakti in all corners of the country. This is the precise reason why the fragrance of bhakti can be felt all around our country.

Our beloved Guruji  has a special reverence for Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and in the coming issues, we will enjoy his bhakthi and the path of devoution that he had set an example for us to follow.

Sashimatha Nimayee begins his studies and he excels in his studies. Why should Nimayee an incarnation of Krishna study Vedas when he himself is the beginning and the end. That is because to lead from the front for ordinary people are sure to follow the path laid by the great souls. Nimayee walks around clad in a white dothi with his book in one hand and all the ladies were spellbound by his beauty. Nimayees beauty exceeded even that of manmadan and the beauty of manmadan is dervied only because he was born as son of Krishna and nothing else. The teacher wait eagerly for Nimayee to arrive as they too were spellbound by his activites. Nimayee roams happily teasing everyone as he pleases and transforms the entire surrounding to a joyous one. Pandit Jaganatha Mishras also feels elated and thinks that in a few years time he can marry off Nimayee.

It is not certain whether certain things happen due to karma or due to the will of the Lord. King Dasaratha thought of seeing his child Rama as a ruler but the moment he decided that, he passed away without seeing Rama as the king. All of a sudden Jaganatha Mishra develops a fever and he was alright till he decided to see Nimayee as a married person. When Nimayee returned he questioned his mother as to what happened to his father. Nimayee asks his father what happened and Jaganatha Mishra replies that it is natural for the body to acquire some diseases and that he should not worry about his health and instead focus on his studies. But as days progressed Jaganatha Mishra health detoriated and he was pushing along with the medicines that were given by the local doctor.

Tirumangai Azhwar

Jaganatha Mishra was concerned that his first child took up sanyasa and at least he wanted to see off his younger child Nimayee as a married man. But his health detoriated again as the days progressed. One day Jaganatha Mishra requested Nimayee to take him to ganges as he felt that he would live no more and wish to die on the bank of the holy ganges. He along with Sashimatha carried Jaganatha Mishra and they took him to ganges. Nimayee cried that he is still a child and that who would take care of him after his father's death. Jaganatha Mishra tells Nimayee to take care of his mother and that the Lord would take good care of Nimayee. Jaganatha Mishra instructs Nimayee to bring him some ganga water and he takes it from Nimayee and the fortunate soul passed away.

RadheKrishna.. More of Gauranga leela to continue in the coming episodes.

3. Krishnam Vande Jagadhgurum - Extracts From The Holy Bhagawath Geetha

Radhekrishna.Hinduism is an ancient religion. All the things that have been spoken in Hindu religion can be applied in practical life. Although in 21st century till everyone can apply this in his or her daily life. The aim of Hindu religion is to provide total happiness to everyone at all times (or any point of time). The essence of Hinduism is told in "Bhagawad Gita". In order to realize what is said in Bhagawad Gita it is a compulsory (must) to have an unconditional faith on Bhagawad Gita. So many people have benefited in their lives because of the (by reading) shlokas of Bhagawad Gita. In Bhagawad Gita, Bhagawan Shri Krishna has told the way to lead a happy life in such an easy way that even a normal layman can easily understand. The slokas are so simple that anyone can understand and use it practically.
In the coming months we will enjoy the 12th Chapter of Gita and the devoution towards the Lord as explained by our  beloved Guruji.

Gurujiamma & Guruji - Krishnam Vande Jagathgurum

As requested by Arujna, Krishna moves the charriot along the middle of the battlefield. Krishna could have kept quiet but instead instructs Arjuna to have a nice look at the relatives who have gathered to fight. Arjuna on seeing them loses his resolve and tells Krishna that he will not be able to fight his guru et al. But Krishna urges Arjuna to fight and Arjuna retors with lot of reasons as to why he will not be able to fight. Krishna still urges Arjuna to fight he Arjuna seems too confused and starts to provide a number of reasons and explanations. Arjuna was confused , like with all of us when doing work, whether the fight will be regarded as just or whether it was inappropriate to fight. There was no one to clarify this for Arjuna other than Krishna and this is the plain truth.

Finally Arjuna falls at the feet of Krishna, surrenders and says that he is ready to do what Krishna instructs him to do as he is unable to conclude whether this war is just or not. This is when in the second chapter as the eleventh sloka that Krishna begins to speak and that is the actual starting point of Gita. Krishna begins to explain one after the other starting with athma and its nature. At one point Arjuna requests Krishna to show His true form to him. Krishna explains that Arjuna cant see Him as is with the present pair of eyes and offers his divine vision with which Arjuna sees Krishna as is. Many think that Vishwaroopa means a huge form but that is not the case. Vishwaroopa means to see Krishna in everything and everything within Krishna. Krishna also proceeds to say that not everyone can view the form that Arjuna had seen and only very true devotees are eligible for the same.

Krishna reveals the bhakthi yoga following the Vishwaroopa dharshan to Arjuna. This forms the chapter 12 of Bagawad Gita. Then a big doubt arises in Arjuna's mind and everybody has such doubts as well. Hindus do get confused as to the number of forms and the gods and tend to question on what to meditate. Arjuna too has the same question and begins to query Krishna. This chapter consists of 20 slokas and Arjuna just begins with a question in the first sloka for which Krishna answers the rest in 19 slokas. In all Krishna explains Gita in excess of 500 slokas.

Arjuna start his question to Krishna and asks who is considered a better devotee- Those who worship the formless nature of the Lord or those who worship Lord in a particular form. This is a wonderful question as the Lord is both formless and has a form as well

Kulashekara Azhwaar

Perumal Thirumozhi was as a result of Kulasekara azhwar longing to see and enjoy Lord Ranganatha. The Thirumozhi also results from the bhakthi of the azhwar towards Rama and Krishna and he begins with his longing for Lord Ranganatha. Everyone of us have so much of longing for the worldly affairs but the longing and the love for the lord alone will help us achieve a good state.

Kulasekara azhwar enjoys Lord Ranganatha as Adisheshan in the first two pasurams or songs. Then he enjoys the Lord as enjoyed by Brahma. But the way Gopis enjoyed the Lord is considered to be supreme. This is because the not so intelligent Gopis were fully aware of the strengths of the Lord and believed that Krishna would save them. Of all the avataras, Krishna avatar is considered to be the best and one that can easily be enjoyed. This was followed by Kulasekara azhwar enjoying how Narada and Tumburu enjoy the Lord. He continues further and sees how the devotees are enjoying the Lord.

Humans on sight of the Lord Ranganatha are able to get rid of their bad thoughts and practices. Despite having all the vices within us we often feel that these are not correct. This is because the Lord is prompting us within that these vices should be get rid of by us. Despite our changes in lifestyle we feel the same guilt and this proves that the Lord is the same irrespective of the age we live in. We can observe that some people would have lived a not so disciplined life but at the ripe old age they would definitely repent. Till day there has not been anyone who has not repented for his/her sins prior to death. Even Ajamilan realised his mistakes at the age of 88 only. The Lord was so merciful that He heard his plea at his death and reformed him and gave him mukti.

We must also contain our senses which run wild even at our ripe old ages. It refuses to  be contained and gets at times in control in case of high fever where all the senses take a pledge to obey. Once the fever subsides then all of them raise their ugly heads! Our senses should be brought under control when we are hale and healthy as well. Like Prahalada , Druva and all the devotees we should contain our senses. Once there was a child who was sitting and whose leg was kept in a little distance from him. A sage was surprised and asked the child whether someone severed his leg. The child replied that he saw a beautiful girl and was planning to go behind her. But he took the decision to cut his own leg and was laughing at his own leg in its ability to win over his desire. He questioned his heart to stick his leg back but that did not happen and hence he won over his heart and his desires. It is our mind that defeats us and the Lord explains in detail about the mind in Srimad Bagawad Gita.

As the senses are controlled so do our past karmas. It is the past karma that gives us pleasure at times and hardships at times. The devotees are also following all the regulations prescibed by the Vedas and those that are being followed by their gurus. Those who deviate from their gurus teachings will never be able to attain mukti or liberation. Even if they chant crores of times deviating from what the guru had said it will not bear fruit. Prahalad and Duruva attained liberation because they exactly followed what their guru Narad had prescribed

RadheKrishna the pasuram continues next month...

5. Spring Of Spiritual Showers - Experiences Of Bhaktas, Disciples Of Poojyashree Shree Amma, Our Gurujiamma

An experience of a disciple in his / her own words

divine eyes that guard us continuously

My pranams to Gurujiamma and Guruji. With the abundant blessings of Gurujiamma and Guruji, there is no fear in life. Everything that comes in life is just like Krishna’s prasadam. I would like to share an experience which I had some time back.

I had read in Srimad Bhagwad Gita Chapter No 8, verse no 5 that “He who at the last moment, while leaving the body, departs, remembering Lord Shri Krishna, attains Him”. A thought came in my mind at that moment that how would one think about Krishna if one happened to die when he was fast asleep? This thought disturbed me greatly and I started thinking on a solution to this question.I had this thought at the time when I was about to go to sleep that day. I kept wondering about this and went to sleep without any answer coming to my mind.

That very night, I saw a dream. In that dream I saw that I was traveling on an air-borne vehicle. I was feeling scared that I may not fall down from such a height because the vehicle was an open vehicle without any door, window or enclosure. Sometime later, I saw that there was a mal-function in the vehicle and it started falling down with great speed. I thought that now my end is near and there is no way of escaping death. Thus thinking I cried out in my dream, Hey Krishna! Please save me! And to my surprise, the vehicle instead of falling on the ground with a thud, came down floating like a parachute and I was safe.

The next moment I woke up with a shock.I realised that it was a dream and that even in my dream, I had uttered the name of Lord Shri Krishna when I felt I was going to die! I was really very amazed that I had got the answer to my question so fast! Within a span of few hours!

I realised that be it in any state, Conscious/ Awakened, Sub-conscious or Unconscious/ Sleeping state it is possible to remember Krishna!!

I am ever-indebted to Gurujiamma and Guruji that I got a chance to have this type of experience in my life.

6. Samarpanam

parithraanaaya sadhoonaam vinasaya cha dhushkrutham

dharma sansthapanarthaya sambhavami yuge yuge

Bhagawan takes avatar in each and every yuga mainly to safeguard the bhaktas and then to destroy the rakshasaas who trouble his bhaktas. So Bhagawan comes to this bhoomi from paramapadham just for the sake of his bhaktas. Hence we come to know that bhaktas are very important to the Lord. Whenever Bhagawan comes to rescue his bhaktas, the other fellow people also reap the benefits.........Our guruji amma gives high respect to all the bhaktas. Hence our Vedhanaadham's every issue will be dedicated to one bhakta. This issue we are dedicating to the one of the great eternal devotees of the Lord namely - 'Pundarika Vidhyanithi'

The great spiritual soul Pundarika Vidhyanathi was the disciple of Madhavendrapuri and was born to Suklambara Brahmachari and gangadevi born in East Bengal near the present day Dacca
The great devotee who would lose himself in stories of Krishna and would enter into a trance
The great bhaktha who was so close to Krishna Chaitanya that the latter would cry in his absence

The great soul was none other than Vrsabanu , father of Radhe , during Krishna's period

The great devotee was treated as father by none other than Krishna Chatianya Mahaprabhu and was given the title of Premanidhi
