Radhekrishna! Only by doing naamajapam (chanting Lord's name) one can attain whatever one wishes for. Peace of mind and joy in life, is the most difficult and sought after thing by everybody. If one gets these two they achieve everything in life, as they include everything in them, which can be attained only by naamajapam.
Some people think, they have sufficient wealth, so they feel why they should chant? Their thinking may be true, but their fortune may wax or wane, or maybe stable but what about their health?? Bodily abilities gradually deteriorate with age and at one point, inability sets in. Youth is not going to stay with one for long and it slips away w/o our knowledge. People are under the impression that they are going to stay forever with the beauty of their teenage. They know that this is impossible but they fail to realize this harsh truth. On seeing an elderly person, a teenager thinks how ugly wrinkled skin & gray hair they have, but they (teenagers) fail to understand that they will also have 2 undergo the same fate in a span of few years time, which cannot be escaped. This ignorance is the root cause of their false pride and ego. Their ego shows their sheer ignorance and is totally unwanted. On comparing the physical conditions with an aged person, the teenagers ego gets inflated. They think they have glowing skin whereas the aged person has wrinkled skin. They fail to realise that what the elderly face 2day will have to be met by the teenager in few days time. As each day passes by, all are getting older only. We are moving closer towards the grave. How strange is the human mind which fails to accept this universal truth!
People have inflated ego, thinking everything is mine, I possess everything, I know everything. But in truth what do they know?? Why this false ego?? Even if one thinks that he knows everything and is highly educated, one needs a farmer to harvest foodgrains, then a cook for cooking it according to one's taste, when one boasts that he owns a bunglow, can drive a car...what do they really know?? He merely provides the money required for construction work but he needs people who know the job, he may drive a car, provided somebody manufactured one and then teaches him how to drive the same. So where is the need to boast, that I know everything. Where does he know everything?!
All such unwanted ego and ignorance that everything will remain the same forever & is imperishable and indestructible is sheer foolishness and the most ignored fact. This is the strangest universal truth, that all know but none accepts it. God only is imperishable and indestructible in this world. The only thing which was, is and will be forever is the bhakti (devotion) towards Him. But what is the need to do bhakti?? One will come to know only when one does it. Its done for our own well-being and for nothing else.
One realizes the power of bhakti only when one experiences it. Bhakti doesn't come on its own naturally. We are being taught by our elders the traditional ways which only includes the rituals (sampradayams) and not the true way how to do bhakti. Their inability to teach us bhakti is because their elders did the same and so on.
People often boast how people used 2 do bhakti in olden days but no one clearly specifies how to do bhakti, i.e. naamajapam these days to the youngsters. Even during vedic karmas like Upanayanam, no one is able to guide properly, but people are only money minded & only follow the practices blindly without any devotion. But how will this help the jeevaatma to attain the ultimate goal, salvation??
For this purpose only, one needs an Aacharyan (guru) who repeatedly teaches and imposes bhakti in us. That is why in olden days, there used to be an Aacharya / guru for each set of people and it was their responsibility to protect the jeevaatmas (soul) and help them to attain salvation (moksha).
People often misinterpret that death is the liberation of the soul, which is wrong, it is merely the end of the life but not the freedom of the jeevaatma. True freedom means only when one lives on this earth without being entangled in the worldly worries and miseries. The way to lead such a life should be taught by a Sadguru. When guru initiates his followers it is their (guru) responsibility to see that their followers have true freedom in their life. Since we have not come across such a guru earlier, today most of us are following the rituals and have not understood the real meaning of life and liberation.
So all should do more and more naamajapa and attain the supreme bliss. One can see the Lord & also attain everything in life by naamajapa only. If we want to lead a happy and peaceful life, that can also be achieved by naamajapam only. This is the ultimate truth! So chant radhekrishna...radhekrishna continously in mind. It is our good fortune that one gets a guru who initiates us and teaches us how to do bhakti. Treat that as the most precious thing in the world and cherish it always. Hence one should always chant the Lord's name.
Radhekrishna, Radhekrishna, Radhekrishna, Radhekrishna, Radhekrishna, Radhekrishna. Radhekrishna.......

Listen to Amma's divine message in Her own voice! (in Tamil)
It
is fortunate to listen and be blessed to Guruji Amma's Sathsangam through
phone irrespective of one's domicile in any nook and corner of this universe
and many more souls should yearn to enjoy this bliss! Since people are easily
tempted to the uncivilized activities and are trapped in the web of movies,
television programmes and some unpleasant magazines, more and more Sathsangams
should be encouraged and attended to keep oneself engaged in the union of the
Almighty, which is the only eternal truth. Just as hills are made of hard stones
alone and its originality cannot be replaced, likewise Bhagawaan is the eternal
truth and at a stage each one realizes this truth. Its no compulsion and even
those who have disassociated will realize this truth. Such is the greatness of
Bhakthi and Naamasankeerthana. Since, Naamasankeerthana is the Kali Yuga Dharma,
there is no match to it. Radhekrishna!

Mahatmas - New Bhaktacharitras Each Month
India is the holy land with so many bhaktas (devotees). When we go through the Indian history, there must be a bhakta in every period. That is the greatness of this sacred land. Bhaktas are the role model for all the bonded souls. They enjoy their life in a perfect way. Bhaktas surrender themselves to the Lotus feet of Lord. By hearing or reading bhaktas' divine story, the bonded soul is enlightened to come out of the worldwide bondages.
Radhekrishna! Sincere chanting and listening to the great stories of devotees will surely give a peace of mind to everybody, even in this 21st century. So many people think that listening to the devotee's stories is a waste of time and there is no benefit at all. If somebody wants to realize the power of bagawan, first of all they must listen bhaktha charithram [stories of devotees]. There are so many advantages in listening to baktha charithram.
The beauty of Lotus feet is somewhat very extraordinary and breathtaking. Actually no body can describe the beauty of His feet. All the Mahatmas, who admire the beauty of His Lotus feet, lose themselves. As the toes
are the part of the feet, Thirumangai Mannan had a special attraction on that particular
(toe) ring, which was adorning Bagawan's Lotus like feet! Radhekrishna!!! He had faith that he will get peace of mind, if he gets the ring. He was determined to get the ring
by hook or crook, without thinking of any consequences.
So immediately Thirumangai Mannan bent and caught hold of Bagawan's lotus like
feet and kept on his thigh, actually it is very difficult for every body, even to look or think, but
he held His feet very firmly / tightly. He held Bagawan's feet with one hand and with the help of other hand; he tried to remove the ring. He tried so many times, but
all his efforts were in vain. But still he was not ready to give up his trial.
Earnest efforts is very important in everyone's life. Especially to attain God
earnest effort by oneself is very essential. One should have full of confidence that they
will attain God. Radhekrishna!!!

Thirumangai Mannan had a lot of courage and confidence. He tried his level best to remove the ring
off His toes, but all went in vain. However he desperately wanted the ring, so
as a last resort, he thought of removing the ring by pulling / grabbing it off,
using his teeth Radhekrishna!!! How lucky and what a great opportunity. Even Aadhi Seshan, Garudazhwar and other Aazhwars
didn't have
such an opportunity which Thirumangai Mannan was blessed with. Radhekrishna!!
At the time of PraLayam, Bagawan Himself reclined on a banyan leaf floating over
the vast cosmic flood, put his toe into His mouth, sucked and tasted it with full of innocence. We will come to know only
when we experience it. We should taste His lotus feet by our own mouth. We should experience it as many times as we can in our life. Thirumangai Mannan got
this golden, wonderful opportunity easily.
Thirumangai Mannan had the great experience of tasting the Lord's feet, when he kept his mouth on the toes of Bagawan.
Even he did not realize that he had lost himself under the Lotus feet of Bagawan. We never realize how we lose ourselves and get engrossed in Bagawan. Even if we
don't realize there is no
problem in it.
Lets await the next issue to find out what happens next, until then let us try
to taste His toe just as Thirumangai Mannan did! Radhekrishna!!!

Krishnam Vande Jagadhgurum - Extracts From The Holy Bhagawath Geetha
Radhekrishna.Hinduism
is an ancient religion. All the things that have been spoken in
Hindu religion can be applied in practical life. Although in 21st century till
everyone can apply this in his or her daily life. The aim of Hindu religion is
to provide total happiness to everyone at all times (or any point of time). The
essence of Hinduism is told in "Bhagawad Gita". In order to realize
what is said in Bhagawad Gita it is a compulsory (must) to have an unconditional
faith on Bhagawad Gita. So many people have benefited in their lives because of
the (by reading) shlokas of Bhagawad Gita. In Bhagawad Gita, Bhagawan Shri
Krishna has told the way to lead a happy life in such an easy way that even a
normal layman can easily understand. The slokas are so simple that anyone can
understand and use it practically.
RadheKrishna! Every single word spoken by Bhagwan is for the well being of the longing souls. But still these souls
fail and never try to understand His words, the reason being is ego and pride of
the oneself, thinking that he/she knows everything. But the soul doesn't realize that
pride & ego are the reasons for sorrow. But only because of that does Bhagwan abandon these souls? If a
young child misbehaves, we can correct and scold it, but can we set it aside?
Similarly God(Paramaatma) loves the jeevaatmas and so He follows every soul and leads them
to a good path. On seeing the happiness of the soul He also gets very happy. The mercy of God is wonderful in the world. We should realize the mercy of God and should enjoy it. There is nothing in the world to which we can equalize the mercy of God.
That is why when Arjun surrendered himself onto the Lotus Feet of God without any hesitation Bhagwan Sri Krishna preached Gita to
him. One who really listens & practises the preachings of Lord Krishna, without any doubt,
will surely reach the higher position in life. But after hearing Bhagawat Gita we should follow it sincerely. Without any change if we follow the words of Krishna, we
can realize the exact power. Without considering Gita as mere words, we have to implement it in our practical
daily life. Radhe Krishna.
Bhagwan tells the word 'Yath Thapasyasi'. Life itself is a penance. The whole world is going on, due to penance. The strength of earth is penance. Penance is the power of Sun. The calmness of sea is penance. Penance is the way of wind. Penance is the beginning of the earth. The supreme power of God is penance. Penance is creation. If penance
doesn't exist, nothing exists. Penance is the most excellent in this world. One who withstands the penance, lives the life.
Bhaktha's penance is the only cause of Bhagwan's Avthar in this world. Bhagwan demolishes the Assuras due to His power of penance. Bhagwan functions this world with his power of penance . Penance is the only way to achieve victory. Penance is the only way to attain peace of mind. The word
'Tapa' means accepted wisdom.
More interesting explanations to
follow in the next issue, until then Radhe Krishna!!

Meaning
Just as the heavily flooded rivers only flow towards the mighty ocean,
Kulashekara Aazhwar says that like a flowing river, his mind (thoughts), also
which will flow / rush only towards the divine virtues of the cloud hued Lord ViRRuvakOdu
without any distraction or deviation.
Explanation
Radhekrishna! One's mind should always think of Lord Krishna. The virtues of the Lord are always centered in the well beings of all the living beings. God's beauty and virtues totally frees the jeevaatma from all its sins. So only Kulashekara Aazhwar concludes firmly that the sole duty of the mind is to think and admire His qualities. Therefore citing many examples Kulashekara Aazhwar humbly puts forth his prayers to the Lord.
In the universe all the rivers originate at some high point, flows through several boundaries, but at one point concludes its long journey only by merging into the sea. They can terminate nowhere else but only into the mighty ocean.
The virtues of the Supreme Lord are such that as one hears them over and over again, the mind will be fixed in them only.
As long as one's mind is fixed in the divine virtues of the Lord, his mind is freed from the unwanted worldly worries and attains peace.
Since the mind is always revolving around the unwanted worldly worries. It wanders restlessly. Depending upon our mental strength, the impact of different incidences on our mind vary, hence mind power should be always kept high. Only those with weak mental power shirk and run away from their life. The only way to increase one's mental power is by constantly concentrating on the divine virtues of the Lord and nothing else. Only by doing so we will definitely understand our mental strength.
That is why Kulashekara Aazhwar says to Lord , just as the rivers, whichever turn and twist they take, they end up merging in the mighty ocean and nowhere else. He is in a similar situation, as his thoughts will only flow towards the virtues of the Lord, whose complexion is like that of the clouds.
So let us turn our minds on Lord, which is fruitful and ideal for us. To experience the real meaning of this couplet, one should gradually practise to fix our mind on Lord Krishna. Let us meet again next month, with another enlightening and inspiring paasuram, until then Radhekrishna!

Miracle of Naama Japam
After my son's marriage scheduled to be held at Bangalore we had planned to go to Mayavaram to perform the
pooja to our family Goddess, Mariamman. On the return journey, we were to go to Tambaram to have the darshan of our Poojyashree Shree Guruji Amma and Guruji at 8.30p.m. Accordingly, we talked to Guruji Amma over phone and took
Her aagnyai (consent).
On 23rd August, 2005 at night we left Bangalore by bus and reached Pondicherry on 24th morning,
stayed back at our relative's place and booked a van to go further to Mayavaram and back to Madras. We had also made the necessary reservations from Madras to Bangalore on 24th night by train departing at 11.15p.m. We left Pondicherry by 8.00a.m. and had been to Vaideeswaran Temple and Mayavaram Mariamman Temple. We finished
pooja and left Mayavaram at 2.30p.m. and reached Pondicherry at 6.00p.m. and immediately left at 6.15p.m. from there. We asked the driver that whether we could reach Tambaram by 8.30p.m. to which he replied that we could reach by 9.00p.m. only.
We left Dindivanam at 7.15p.m. When we were 1km. away from town and the highway, suddenly there was a big bang on our vehicle and it started moving
erratically in the sideways and stopped after some distance at one side of the road. We were all shocked for a moment and were chanting. We got down from the van and learnt that the two wheels from one side of the van were punctured and badly damaged as it hit the divider of the road.
It is not necessary to explain, only because of Guru Krupai and the effect of Naamajapam, we escaped from possible major accident. All our family members were travelling in the van. My two sons and daughters-in-law along with my grandson were all saved by God's grace. Poojyashree Shree Ammavin Thiruvadigale
Saranam Saranam Saranam.
Next was how to go to Tambaram and Madras Central and whether we would be able to to meet Guruji Amma and board the train. There was a petrol pump in a
walkable distance. We went there and contacted for an alternate vehicle. Fortunately, we could get the alternate vehicle. Later on we came to know that it was arranged from a garage. It was heavily raining and the van was not having a wiper. With God's grace the driver
managed to drive and we were also praying God to reach us Madras further safely.
At last, we reached Tambaram by 9.30p.m. Adding to the problem, the vehicle's height being more could not pass through the level crossing gate at Tambaram Sanatorium and so boarded an autorickshaw and reached Guruji Amma's Gruham at 9.45p.m.
It is the love of our Guruji Amma and Guruji alone which made us possible to reach their place and Guruji opened the door just by listening to the auto
halting at the gate. We all were in great joy that we were able to meet Guruji Amma and Guruji.
As we had to further go to Madras Central and board the train to Bangalore, we could not spend much time with Guruji
Amma. After seeking the blessings of Poojyashree Shree Guruji Amma, Guruji
appa and Guruji, we returned to the level-crossing gate and boarded the van. There was heavy traffic. The driver also tactfully managed to reach us to Madras Central. We reached Madras Central by 11.15p.m. and boarded the train for Bangalore safely.
It was all possible due to Guru Krupai alone and the Naamajapam and the blessings of our family God that all the obstacles were removed and we could get the darshan of Poojyashree Shree Guruji Amma and Guruji and reach safely.
Radhekrishna!
A blessed devotee.

Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar's sathsangam on Sri Krishna Chaithanya
Mahaprabhu was marvelous. This time the sathsangam was completely about guru
mahima. The description that Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar gave about
Chaithanya Mahaprabhu’s sishyaas like Roopagoswamy, Sanathanagoswamy and
many more was a true example for everyone to follow in day-to-day life. The
sathsangam was incomparable.
During this Mumbai trip also Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar couldn’t
complete the sathsangam on Sri Krishna Chaithanya Mahaprabhu. He will continue
it in His next arrival. If you feel that you have missed the sathsangam then

Weekly bhajans and Nagara sankeerthanam are also being held regularly.
