Despite spent all these days, you are not having that longing that to have not seen the Lord or heard His voice. We have been going places for our relatives , clothes etc but not in search of the Lord. In recent times because of the transportations developments like buses and trains and people have paid vacations in a year, visit to temples have become that of going on a picnic as opposed to having the darshan of the Lord.
Nobody goes with the thought of experiencing the Lord or with the thought of attaining the Lord. The harsh truth is that people plan to spend a certain amount, plan to stay in a hotel and move about but they don't go for the sake of the Lord or to enjoy Him. People's mindset about visiting the temple has changed and it has become a business. The truth of the fact , beyond any doubt, is that only by chanting His names that you can attain the Lord.

India is the holy land with so many bhaktas (devotees). When we go through the Indian history, there must be a bhakta in every period. That is the greatness of this sacred land. Bhaktas are the role model for all the bonded souls. They enjoy their life in a perfect way. Bhaktas surrender themselves to the Lotus feet of Lord. By hearing or reading bhaktas' divine story, the bonded soul is enlightened to come out of the worldwide bondages.
Radhekrishna! Sincere chanting and listening to the great stories of devotees will surely give a peace of mind to everybody, even in this 21st century. So many people think that listening to the devotee's stories is a waste of time and there is no benefit at all. If somebody wants to realize the power of bagawan, first of all they must listen bhaktha charithram [stories of devotees]. There are so many advantages in listening to baktha charithram.
Bharath is a very special land and contained within it are sacred places and rivers. Devotees born in this sacred Bharath ensure that they propagate bhakti in all corners of the country. This is the precise reason why the fragrance of bhakti can be felt all around our country.
Guruji amma has a special reverence for Meera and in the coming issues, we will enjoy Meera's bhakthi and devoution

Meera was happy to be jailed but her only sadness was that she had to part with Giridhari. Meera cries that Giridhari is capable of entering the jail and begs the Lord to join her. People started revolts on hearing Meera's state and Rana decides that it would be best if Meera is dead. Oodha encourages Rana to kill Meera and they decide to make it as natural as possible by releasing a poisonous snake into her cell. Rana tells Meera that he had brought Saligrama and when Meera opened the snake was no longer there and Saligrama was alone visible for sometime and it disappeared too.
People started revolting further when they realised that Rana was planning to kill Meera. They decide to get rid of Meera again by mixing poision in her milk. Meera smiles and drinks it as she knew that poison will not harm her any more based on her prior experiences. Meera then begins to sing bhajans and ultiamately faints after a period of time. Giridhari Himself holds Meera from falling and tears of joy comes through the Lord's eyes on seeing how much suffering Meera is undergoing as a result of the love for Him. Radhika tries to console Krishna and says that is Meera and because of His soft and pure heart alone they are forced to do anything for Him. Rana thought that Meera was dead and while he was making plans for her furneral Meera jumped and sat up..
Rana was of the thought that Meera was a true magician and she could avert all these. The fact is that if we have bhakthi the Lord will take care of all of our needs and we need not protect anything. Rana decides to shift her to the forest jail and Meera was all the more pleased and was awaiting what experiences Giridhari would give her. Meera was thanking Giridhari for the mind that He gave her. Since she could not see Him as his, she was always able to hold Him in her mind. Giridhari insists that Meera should keep up her singing and Meera says that He has to play the flute for her to sing.
Meera begins her bhajans and while it was all going on, a group of bhakthas who were on their way to Brindavan realised that a true gopi was inside the cell and broke it open. They also joined Meera in her singing and the whole forest was transformed into a Brindavan.

Perumal Thirumozhi was as a result of Kulasekara azhwar longing to see and enjoy Lord Ranganatha. The Thirumozhi also results from the
bhakthi of the azhwar towards Rama and Krishna and he begins with his longing for Lord Ranganatha. Everyone of us have so much of longing
for the worldly affairs but the longing and the love for the lord alone will help us achieve a good state.
Kulasekara azhwar enjoys Lord Ranganatha as Adisheshan in the first two pasurams or songs. Then he enjoys the Lord as enjoyed by Brahma. But the way Gopis enjoyed the Lord is considered to be supreme. This is because the not so intelligent Gopis were fully aware of the strengths of the Lord and believed that Krishna would save them. Of all the avataras, Krishna avatar is considered to be the best and one that can easily be enjoyed.
The azhwar proceeds to describe the habitants of Srirangam and calls them as non attached people. The non attachment refers to nothing but attachment to Lord Ranganatha. Similar were the experiences of Thondaradipodi azhwar and Thirupaan azhwar who were only attached to Lord Ranganatha. Even in vaishnava tradition Lord Ranganatha is given the prime most importance as compared to other temples and hence even today he is truly the king of all the Lords.
Azhwar prays that he should recite the Lord's names till the scars are left in his tongue. Imagine how much of a chant that we should do to ensure that scars are left in the tongue and we should try to achieve it. Chanting should come to us as natural as sitting and getting up in our day to day lives. Hands are a very fascinating in the sense that we can use it to pluck flowers, submit at the feet of the Lord and with joined hands we can pray to him. The best form of archana to the Lord is that we should pluck the flower ourselves and devote it to him with all our love.
Tirumalai Ananthazhwar ,a disciple of Ramanuja, used to do it regularly and would ensure that even the fragrance is not being enjoyed by anyone and would submit it to Lord Balaji each day. Even Periazhwar used to enjoy in a similar manner by making garlands for the Lord. Tirukachi nambi's father once had distributed his wealth to all his sons. After some time the father asks Tirukachi nambi on what he had done with the money and he replies that he is developing a flower garden to be able to submit the flowers to Lord Varadharaja each day. Even Gajendara the elephant submits a flower to the Lord when he come to save him from the crocodile and he also attains moksha as a result.
In Mathura during Krishna days a flower merchant was there who would sell garlands thinking that it is going to adorn Krishna. For that very act Krishna first visits his house when he enters Mathura. The flower merchant was overjoyed and adorns Krishna with garlands. As a result Krishna blesses him to enjoy everything in this world and attain moksha along with family at the end of his birth. Nothing pleases the Lord as much as giving him a flower with all our devoution. The azhwar concludes his pasuram by indicating that when his tongue would scared as a result of his chanting and when his hands would attain scars as a result of offering continuous flowers to Lord Ranganatha.
In the next issue we will enjoy another pasuram.

Spring Of Spiritual Showers - Experiences Of Bhaktas, Disciples Of Poojyashree
Shree Amma, Our Gurujiamma
An experience of a disciple in
his / her own words
SRI GURUBHYONNAMAHA
RADHEKRISHNA.
With the blessings of Guruji and Gurujiamma , I would like to share my
experience with others.
Few
months back during the summer vacation, I
had
gone to Kallidaikurichi(TN) to enjoy Guruji’s satsangam there. Everyday in
the morning we used to go to the falls to take bath .On the first day ,we had
gone to Thalaianai falls where water flows from a concrete wall below a slope.
As we were bathing , Guruji , along with some sishyas were walking over the
wall .Guruji was walking some 20-25metres away from me .
I
saw them and tried to reach them walking through the water. But as I was
walking through the water, my legs slipped from a huge stone and I fell into
the water. Even though I tried to come out, I couldn’t come as I might have
been 5-6 feet deep inside the water. Before I fell into the water I saw that
Guruji was seeing me coming through, and that he might have seen me fall into
the water. The only thought going through in my mind was ‘Guruji is seeing
me’.
Only
my fingers could be seen at the surface of the water. After some time , some
boys who were playing in the water saw me struggling
and they pulled me out of the water .I was just wondering how God
saved me even though I knew I hadn’t chanted his name. As I came out
of the water guruji scolded me for being careless, but later he once again
called me to continue the enjoyment in the water. At that time I realized that
he tried to eliminate the fear in my mind .Later when we were returning in the
van he said that he had kept on chanting for me and then I understood what
saved me that day.

Samarpanam parithraanaaya sadhoonaam vinasaya cha dhushkrutham dharma sansthapanarthaya sambhavami yuge yuge
Bhagawan takes avatar in each and every yuga mainly to safeguard the bhaktas and then to destroy the rakshasaas who trouble his bhaktas. So Bhagawan comes to this bhoomi from paramapadham just for the sake of his bhaktas. Hence we come to know that bhaktas are very important to the Lord. Whenever Bhagawan comes to rescue his bhaktas, the other fellow people also reap the benefits.........Our guruji amma gives high respect to all the bhaktas. Hence our Vedhanaadham's every issue will be dedicated to one bhakta. This issue we are dedicating to
the one of the great eternal devotees of the Lord namely - 'Jamabavathi'![]() |
